Sal Viviano made his Broadway debut in the revival of Rudolph Friml's The Three Musketeers in 1984; and has followed by succeeding the lead actors in the Broadway companies of Romance / Romance; City of Angels; Falsettos; and most recently, The Life. Off Broadway, he co-starred in the long-running hit comedy Beau Jest as well as originating leading roles in Cather County, Weird Romance*, Catch Me If I Fall*, Broadway Jukebox, Hamlet, The Opera, and several others. On tour, Sal co-starred as Che in Evita; as Billy Crocker in Anything Goes; as Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance; and as Berger in HAIR. He received a 1998 Helen Hayes Award nomination as Best Actor in a Musical for the title role in the Arena Stage revival of Sunday in the Park with George in Washington, DC; and has worked Regionally at nearly thirty theatres nationwide. On film, he's played leading roles in John Fasano's Black Roses* and The Jitters; Paul Morrissey's Spike of Bensonhurst*; and recorded the title song for James Lapine's Life with Mikey* for Disney. On television; the short-lived Cosby Mysteries, lengthy stints on the now-departed daytime dramas Search for Tomorrow and Ryan's Hope, numerous guest appearances on One Life to Live, All My Children, and The Guiding Light, and most recently guest-starring as Vincent VanGogh on The Disney Chanel's Out of the Box. In-concert, he's appeared with Symphony Orchestras from Palm Desert to Palm Beach ... Brussels to Bermuda; at The Russian Tea Room, the White House, and majestic Carnegie Hall.
